Sunrises and Sunsets
I do love the late evening. And even occasionally being up first thing in the morning! I’m definitely a night owl. Over the past few weeks, however, I’ve seen both ends of beautiful days, marvelling at the beauty of creation.
This evening I travelled out to one of my favourite spots near Reading to watch the sun go down, and it was a truly amazing sunset. There was such a peace as I watched the red orb of the sun disappear below the tree line of the Thames Valley.
It’s not so long since I was watching the sun come up over Berthelsdorf, near Herrnhut, gathering to pray with friends from all over the globe. Tonight it was just me praying, but the majesty and the peacefulness of the situation was there just the same.

Had me laughing out loud from the get go…
Looking For-Best of David Hasselhoff
Thanks Pob for the link.
Meet Mr Tawny Owl
Driving back home from Chichester the other night I came across this fine chap in the middle of the road. He was just stood there, concussed after being hit by a car or lorry. Mr T. Owl was going to be considerably flatter if he didn’t get out of the way sharpish, so I stopped and helped him to the hedgerow.
Hope he made it 🙂
Would you marry this man?
Recent Travels
Here I am again writing multiple blog posts on one day, trying to catch up. I guess I need more ‘blog discipline’ 😉
So, firstly, there was U2 at Twickenham. Which was nice. Caught up with the wonderful Tim Harrold and Jude Smith, and waved at Reading friend Harv across the stadium! I can’t say I’m a great fan of U2’s newer albums, but it was great to see a number of the old classics in the set list:
Nice view!

Bank holiday monday’s have traditionally been one of those times for a good walk in the country. This last BH was no exception. Amo and I travelled off to the Malvern Hills, for a day of walking and pub lunches.
Nice.

As you can see, great views from the top too!
Oh, and beer and cake topped the day off nicely 🙂
WOW!

Just every now and again, you find a really cool piece of software. And even more rarely, its free. I’m a big fan of freeware – lets face it, software costs loads usually, but there’s a small community of people out there who like to make tools available without wanting to rip the rest of us off.
Hi Fi
And there was me thinking I was getting too old for clubbing.
Last week I travelled up to Leeds for the second 24-7 Network day, and managed to pitch up a night early to go out and about on the town to celebrate Anneleen’s birthday.
Try this – its bizarre
How Smart is Your Right Foot?
This is so funny that it will boggle your mind. And you will keep trying it many more times to see if you can outsmart your foot, but you can’t.
1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number “6” in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction.
I told you so ……… .. And there’s nothing you can do about it!
Caused some ammusement in the City Boiler Room office!
