I’ve just awoken from a far-too-short sleep after an amazing night of prayer and praise at my church, Greyfriars, here in Reading.
Our theme for Pentecost was ‘breathing in’ the presence and power of God’s Holy Spirit, and ‘breathing out’ that same transforming Spirit into our troubled world.
Different teams lead various hour long sessions throughout the day and night, and I helped to lead a session on ‘Harp and Bowl’ intercession and worship, and a creative prayer session on prayer for the world, based around Jesus’ reading from Isaiah in Luke 4.
We’ve had an amazing time, and I’m sure our sacrifice of praise and prayer has been pleasing to God. If you’d like to see some pictures of the church and the prayer room, please click here!
