As I type this, 50 of the key 24-7 leaders from across the nations are meeting to seek God, worship Him, tell stories of what He is doing around the globe, and pray.
We have two gatherings at 24-7 each year – the Roundtable, and the International Leaders Gathering. I’ll be making a few posts over the next few days, and we would really value your prayers for both of these gatherings. To begin with, I’m going to concentrate on the former, the Roundtable.
The Roundtable is the gathering where we make all of the key decisions for the movement for the year ahead. Over the next couple of days, we will be sharing stories of what God is doing in the individual nations represented, and praying for each nation. We’re also going to be sharing the work of our structure team, a team of around 10 people who have been researching the way we would like to run the movement over the next few years. This is a really crucial decision for us, as we’re believing God for quite a lot of growth over the next few years. When we first started, our attitude was very much that we would stop what we were doing if God told us to, but we’ve been challenged many times over the past couple of years that God continues to bless what we are doing, and has no intention of stopping any time soon!
Please pray that we would have a great time of fellowship together, and that God would speak clearly to us about the way that He would like us to run this prayer, mission and justice movement that he’s got us all caught up in.
Last year we were in the wonderful former East Germany, in Hernhutt and Dresden, but this year is closer to home in London. As a result of this, I’m on the team helping with the logistics, so I’d also really value prayer for stamina as we run around between our three venues…
Thanks! More news soon.
Pete, appreciate your servant heart… missing being your roommate at the meetings. Definitely will be praying as key decisions are shared and the time to move ahead is now.
I am so thankful we got Karen out there last minute to represent Canada. You will really appreciate the stories andy, the cowboy monk, has to share on re: calgary and the urban monastery community house. He is now our Canadian ‘wild goose.’ Cheers for releasing him our way!
Blessings to you in the journey, paulo & corey in the Canadian Rockies.
