Weekends are for relaxing, right? Didn’t quite turn out that way this weekend!
After a quick trip back to the parents place in North Wiltshire on Saturday, I legged it from the quaint little Cotswold stone village of Ashton Keynes, to Ipswich, on the East coast.
The reason for this little three and a half hour jaunt was to hook up with the Share Jesus International prayer tour at one of the town’s churches. I was there representing 24-7, speaking on the history of the prayer movement, and the practicalities of running a 24-7 prayer room. Hopefully it went off well! And its always a pleasure to meet up with the lovely Andy, and Jo, of SJI.
This little journey in itself would be a pretty normal excursion for me – I don’t think much of legging it around the country usually – however, this was only the start of the evening’s activities. I had arranged to meet up with Sheena from Portland, Oregon, that afternoon (see cheesy grin pic!), not realising that I wouldn’t have time before the early start of the seminar with SJI. Soooo…
…car from Ipswich to Shenfield (a delightful little place on the edge of the M25). Train to Liverpool Street. Tube to Leicester Square. Quick pint in my fave central London hostelliary (De Hems). Meet up with Sheena. Talk on the tube on the way back to Liverpool Street. Train back to Shenfield. Car back to Ipswich. Kip down at my uncle and aunt’s place.
Phew.
Might need a ‘duvet day’ this week 😉
hmmm…cheesey pic is right. (how do you make an eye-rolly face?) the pic i took was worse! i’d show it to you but i’m too vain.
wait, let me get my map…..

ok.
got it.
wait, which country are you in again?
