The (not really that sizzling) Summer
This Summer we will be closed duing August, however, do watch out for the Prayer Room at Greyfriars for Reading Festival:
Thu 25th - Sat 27th
If you're not able to make it whilst we're open, spare a thought for the delectable visitors that have the privilege of visiting our town. When you see 'likely looking candidates' who may be sporting the latest in mud fashion (depending on whether Mr Sun decides to bring the long-awaited heat wave!) spare a thought/prayer and ask God to use the music, the atmosphere and the people that they meet during that long weekend.
Rather than an 'invasion' (I'm sure many Caversham-ites have already had to grit their teeth after the latest influx of WOMADers) let's think of it as an opportunity to shine light, share love, and to look for Jesus in the midst of whatever experiences people are having. I find myself too often judging appearances and jumping to conclusions ... wouldn't it be amazing if Reading became a place where people always felt accepted, safe and welcome?! We'd have more than just our current record of pilgrims - how exciting!

From this thursday to Sunday what time is the 24-7 prayer open in the west end until each night in greyfriars church? Do I need to book if I want to take my cell group there?
