I can’t say I’m a great fan of U2’s newer albums, but it was great to see a number of the old classics in the set list:

Vertigo
All Because of You
Electric Co.
Elevation
New Year’s Day
Beautiful Day
I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For
Wild Horses
City of Blinding Lights
Miracle Drug
Sometimes You Can’t Make it on Your Own
Love and Peace
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Bullet The Blue Sky
Running to Standstill
Pride in the Name of Love
Where the Streets have No Name
One
Zoo Station
The Fly
With or Without You
Yahweh
Vertigo
and, being a U2 gig, it was truly spectacular!
A couple of weeks ago I visited my associate vicar friend Catharine in Malpas, on the edge of Newport in Wales. As well as catching up over a few nice meals, we climbed Twmbarlwm, and went down to Cardiff Bay. On top of the old Twmbarlwm Roman Hill fort overlooking the Severn Estuary and the Breckons, I wanted to pray for England, but my spirit really turned me towards Wales, asking God that she would reawaken her passion for Jesus and bring the Good News to the English. It was reminiscent of a time back in 2001 when I climbed the snow capped mound, whilst Catharine was ill in hospital. I wrote this back then.

The trip to Cardiff Bay was the point at which I reawakened my passion for architecture. I may well have ended up going down that route as a career if I’d thought about it more during my teenage years. In Cardiff Bay, I really love the way that the buildings on the waterfront have been well themed, and the new concert hall looks fantastic, inside and out.
Well, I think that’s my random ramblings for now. Hope you enjoyed them!

Here I am again writing multiple blog posts on one day, trying to catch up.
