Life: December 2007 Archives

Well, it's been a while since the last post on my trip to the States in August, but I'm still enjoying sorting through the several hundred pictures I took while I was there.  So, it's time for the sequel to 'Great Scott'!

Having had such an amazing time at Crater Lake, Shirls and I decided that we needed to head back towards Portland via the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway.  Yet again, the scenery of Oregon County did not disappoint...

Well, the card competition this year was won by my picture of hoar frost on the side of a car door here in Reading.  Here's the online version, and I hope you like it!

The evening of Nov 30th was a fine end to the month of gigs.  Shirley, Andy and I found a considerably more convenient (and drier!) route to Alexandra Palace, where we were to see another one of my favourite bands of the past 5 years or so, Interpol.

I first heard of Interpol when I popped into an alternative music store in New York, before rushing up the Twin Towers just months before 9/11.  I've not been back to New York since, and it'll be strange to see the city without the two imposing landmarks.  Anyway, off topic...
